Upon watching the movie Case For Christ by Lee Strobel, several details trouble me about the resurrection story in the Bible:

• Women discovered the empty tomb.

• According to Lee Strobel's mathematicians the probability of one person doing all the prophecies is 1 in trillion trillion trillion...

• David writes about crucifixions before crucifixions were invented by the romans.
  
  
• ...the reliability of eye witness testimony and how the gospels each tell the same story but slightly different supposedly "aiding to the credibility"

Volunteer Work in Global Hope Network

I'm doing volunteer work at GHNI. I'm not doing much. I put some files onto a computer and worked on a brochure, but nothing fancy. Yesterday, I called a friend of my girlfriend and asked her if I could go to work with her and she said I could. Global Hope Network International helps populations affected by natural disasters. They help out poor populations in general. What I like is about GHNI is its desire to create microbusiness in these poor populations and avoid creating dependency. Right now, they are talking a lot about helping Gaza, Indonesia, and Afganistan. If you want to help them help people in need, this is a Christian organization and you donate to them at GHNI.org

I'm at the library checking out some books. I found a book about the history of programming languages, a book about learning C Plus Plus in 21 days, and a book about robotics. I love the studious, quiet environment. I'm listening to the song "Somebody's Watching Me" I love this song after the Geico commercials about the little money you could be saving with Geico.

Address Shortcuts

I wonder how much time people waste surfing the web. There are so many accounts to get to. I have myspace, facebook, hotmail, and gmail! I recently discovered an interesting Firefox add-on that allows the user to create short cuts to websites. I don't have to type "hotmail.com" every time I want to check my e-mails. Now, with the add-on I can customize bookmarks to have a special keyword. All I have to type is "hot" (without quotations) in Firefox's address bar to get to hotmail. I took advantage of being able to give web-pages' keywords by bookmarking the URL for signing out of hotmail for example. I no longer have to use my mouse to sign out of hotmail - all I do is type "so" (without quotations) in the address bar and wallah I'm signed off.

Keyboard shortcuts

I love keyboard shortcuts. I have memorized already some of the Windows keyboard short cuts. Here are my favorite keyboard shortcuts that aid in saving time:

Windows Shortcuts

Windows Logo + d
With this short cut you can minimize all your windows at once.

Alt + Tab
Use this shortcut to switch between different windows you have open. Sometimes using this short cut is easier than using a mouse. I have also found this short cut useful when my mouse freezes.

Alt + F4
Close the window you have open.

FireFox Shortcuts

Control + k
this is a Firefox keyboard short cut, and really my top favorite. This is a shortcut to the search engine at the top right corner of Firefox web-browser. Sometimes I need to use Google to find more information on a topic and I save time by using this short cut.

Control + t
I use this to create new tabs. Most of the time I use this shortcut before I use Control + K. I open a new tab for Google.

Control + l
I use this to get to the address bar. I almost never use my mouse.

Studied Calculus and Chemistry

I went to a classmate's house today to meet up with a group to study Chemistry and Calculus. I was really tired since I woke up at 7:00AM today, ergo I took a 15-20 minute power nap during the group study. The short nap really did me good (or 'did me well'?) since I felt great afterwards. I'm learning about oxidation-reduction reactions in chemistry, and in calculus I'm learning integration by tables.
